Do you need to play them in order?
No. Each game has its own protagonist, setting and route system. Release order is useful if you want series references and the progression from the original ritual format to later navigation and color-management systems. It is not a requirement before playing Crush Landing.
Choose by the kind of game you want
- Choose First Date for the original Necronomicon ritual structure and Ln’eta, Estir and Nyanlathotep routes.
- Choose Date to Die For for the Black Woods, Rhok’zan, survival decisions and ritual navigation.
- Choose Crush Landing for Hheily, an apartment color puzzle, visitors, relationship routes and the Ending Gallery.
Do not copy instructions between them. For example, First Date’s ritual-book steps cannot solve Crush Landing’s color requests, and Crush Landing visitor events do not exist in the Black Woods.
Common naming confusion
“Sucker for Love 2” commonly refers to Date to Die For, the second released standalone game. It is not a patch for First Date. Crush Landing is the newer entry and has different characters and systems.
