Which apartment items matter most?
The strongest early reserves are the chameleon, fish, peppers, bananas, grapes, red gifts, bathroom plants/mushrooms and the balcony eggplant. The chameleon is a universal-color tool; the fish and chameleon also matter to The Rainbow Bridge. Do not burn them during a completion run.
What does the neighbor request?
Multiple Steam replies converge on a three-step neighbor sequence: plunger first, milk second, mirror third. Completing the sequence raises Darkness progress; entering the bathroom afterward adds another stage. Those items should therefore stay out of Hheily’s fire when pursuing the Sentient Darkness branch.

- Save before opening mail because rewards and injuries are random.
- At each heart, count remaining colors before the irreversible final burn.
